Tips for applicants


  • Read the job ad carefully; if you meet at least 80% of the requirements, you have a good chance for success.
  • The first impression matters; a current, professional applicant photo is important.
  • A short, clearly structured CV limited to 2 pages increases your chances for success. Be careful to avoid spelling errors.
  • Ensure current, complete, and informative profiles on LinkedIn and Xing.
  • Ask questions and prepare for the interview.
  • Dress for the interview as though it were your first day at work.
  • During the interview, give honest, detailed answers without deviating too much and support your skills with successes and competencies achieved in the past.
  • Be natural and yourself; it may be possible to pretend to be someone else during the interview, but that becomes difficult in daily life in the new position.
  • Who are your references? What will they say about you?
  • There may be many reasons as to why an application process is prolonged. Feel free to call us or send us a brief email, we will get back to you right away.
  • If a job posting has been online for some time, it has not yet been filled. Your application or a call always has a chance.

The application process


  • Send us an online application including CV, work certificates/employer references, and degrees. The information is encrypted and transmitted securely. You will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt.
  • Candidates who are well qualified will be contacted and invited to a first interview at EVOJOB. Candidates who do not meet the requirements receive a declination email. All other applicants need a little more patience.
  • The first structured interview at EVOJOB generally takes about 1½ hours. We want to get to know you and ask questions about your career, competencies, character, and motivation. After the interview, we request a letter of motivation.
  • The second interview is with the employer. The goal of this meeting is to get to know one another and it generally lasts 1 to 2 hours.
  • The next step consists of creating INSIGHTS MDI® personality profiles. We discuss these with the candidates and employers, and get references.
  • The second interview is often also a trial day, as you meet other employees, see the workplace, and get answers to any remaining questions.
  • The last step is the contract negotiation.
  • We support our candidates during the decision-making process and their start phase with their new employer.
